Location: 745, 7th Avenue, NY
Architect: Gensler
Services Provided: Cost Consultant and Commercial Manager

Project Scope
The project involved the refurbishment of trading floors to provide the look and feel of Barclays Capital corporate brand following their acquisition of the former Lehman Brothers entity. Eight trading floors, a total of 330,800 sq ft; and eight support function floors, a total of 224,900 sq ft; were ‘refreshed’ as part of the application of Barclay’s branding.
CHP Service
CHP provided both the cost consultant role and the commercial management functions. As cost consultant, CHP implemented cost planning and management systems to ensure both flexibility and control pending the final definition of scope and budget. To help maintain control, CHP provided weekly cost reports and rapid estimates for additional scope requests as the project developed.
The commercial management role involved overseeing project processes and documentation for compliance with the client’s auditing requirements. CHP provided audit reports, reviewed and validated amendments to budgets and advised on commercial issues and risk.
