Mike has worked with CHP since 2008, initially through a Highways Agency joint venture and then by involvement with various renewable energy schemes. He has gained considerable experience of FIDIC, NEC, ICE and JCT standard forms along with other more bespoke documents, particularly used by the power generation industry.
In his role, Mike has first knowledge of the 'cut and thrust' world of reviewing contract terms and managing the expectations of funders, developers and contractors alike. With over 30 years in the construction industry he has experience in many sectors including wind farms, renewable energy, utilities, electrical infrastructure, remediation and water related civil engineering projects.
Mike has been instrumental in developing and implementing budgetary control processes for contracts from scheme feasibility through to the conclusion of major frameworks including dispute resolution, asset disposal and labour transfers.
In addition, Mike has provided commercial advice for the operational boards of several joint ventures and alliances through the assessment and management of commercial risk from procurement to construction and operation.
